Qin Li, PhD
Qin Li, PhD is a Co-Researcher at the Leah Zallman Center for Immigrant Health Research (LZC) and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition. In this role, she studies narrative change and its impact on immigrant well-being in Massachusetts through the project “Policy on the Frontlines: Narrative Change for Immigrant Well-being.”
Qin also serves as a Program Manager with Raising a Reader MA, bringing over a decade of experience in academia and family engagement. As a scholar-activist and immigrant mother of two, Qin bridges professional expertise with lived experience to advance literacy, strengthen families, and empower communities through education and family leadership development. Previously, Qin served as Senior Program Manager at Families First, where she led the Ripple Program, overseeing initiatives including the Parent Leadership Series and Community Impact Projects. Prior to that, she was a lecturer at Wuhan University, focusing on women’s empowerment and child development.
Qin holds a PhD in Public Management from Huazhong Normal University and further advanced her research as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University (2010) and as a Visiting Assistant Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley (2018).
