Sophie Frushell, EdM is a Co-Researcher with the Leah Zallman Center for Immigrant Health Research and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA). She brings experience across education, youth development, research, and community-based organizations in both the United States and the Dominican Republic. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where her work centered on leadership, organizational change, and community-engaged research.
She is particularly committed to bridging academic research with lived experience, ensuring that immigrant and youth voices shape the narratives, policies, and practices that affect them. Her work is grounded in place, accountable to community, and oriented toward practical impact with a commitment to advancing youth well-being, belonging, and civic engagement. Alongside her research work, she supports mission-driven organizations as a consultant through operational strategy, grant writing, and systems development.
