Walter F. Mena, MA
Walter F. Mena, MA is a pastoral minister and community leader with more than 30 years of experience in ministry, leadership development, and community organizing in Latin America and the United States. Originally from El Salvador, he holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Theology and a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Boston College. As a Co-Researcher at LZC, Walter collaborates in research-informed community organizing focused on health equity and immigrant well-being, including participation in focus groups and narrative change efforts that elevate the voices, leadership, and contributions of immigrant communities within the health system.
A bilingual and bicultural minister, Walter integrates pastoral theology, popular education, spirituality, and social justice to foster shared leadership, inclusive spaces, and community participation rooted in faith, dignity, and solidarity.
